We Staff Canada is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Labourer for a client in Edmonton, Alberta. This is a general labour role for someone with mechanical aptitude. You support the maintenance team, help keep the equipment running and pick up hands on skills on the job. No trade ticket is needed.
What you will be doing
- Assist the maintenance team with routine servicing and repairs
- Basic mechanical work such as changing parts, greasing, tightening and adjusting
- Use hand and power tools safely and correctly
- Help with equipment clean down, changeovers and shutdown work
- Report faults, wear and safety concerns
- General labour and housekeeping around the plant
- Follow lockout procedures and all site health and safety rules
What you need
- Mechanical aptitude and a genuine interest in how equipment works
- Comfortable with hand and power tools
- Able to stand, bend and lift through a full shift
- Safety boots
- Previous maintenance, mechanical, trades helper or industrial experience is an asset
- A formal trade ticket is not required
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
