We Staff Canada has ongoing part time general labour work in North York, Ontario. These are entry level assignments with our manufacturing and packaging clients along the Highway 401 corridor, and no previous experience is needed. If you want shifts that fit around school, another job or family, this is the posting to apply to.
The work
Hours vary by client and by week, and we match you to what fits your availability. Day, afternoon, evening and weekend shifts all come up. Pay is $17.95 to $19.95 an hour, depending on the site and the shift. Most sites are reachable by TTC.
Part time general labour is also how a lot of people get their first full time placement with us. If you decide you want more hours, tell your coordinator and we will put you forward for full time openings as they come up in North York.
What you will be doing
- Loading and unloading product by hand
- Picking, packing and sorting orders
- Supporting production and assembly lines
- Labelling, boxing and palletizing finished goods
- Keeping your work area clean and organized
- General support wherever the site needs it that day
What you need
- Green patch or CSA approved steel toe safety boots
- Comfortable standing for your full shift and lifting on a regular basis
- Reliable way to get to and from the site
- Two pieces of valid identification
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
