We Staff Canada is seeking an experienced Refer Shop Manager to oversee the daily operations of a busy automotive and heavy equipment facility in Baden, ON. This is a full-time, on-site morning shift opportunity with competitive pay and long-term potential.
Position Overview
As a Shop Manager, you will be responsible for supervising shop operations, managing staff, and ensuring that all maintenance and repair work meets the highest quality and safety standards. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise in automotive repair and heavy equipment operation, as well as proven experience in managing workflow, inventory, and customer relations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate shop activities, including scheduling work assignments and managing workflow
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of vehicles and heavy equipment, ensuring all work meets industry and safety standards
- Manage inventory of parts and supplies, placing orders to maintain adequate stock
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, fostering a safe work environment
- Train and mentor shop staff on best practices, repair techniques, and safety protocols
- Conduct regular inspections of shop equipment and tools to ensure functionality and safety
- Address customer inquiries and concerns professionally, providing effective solutions to maintain satisfaction
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Proven experience in automotive repair or heavy equipment operation
- Familiarity with forklift operation and freight handling (preferred)
- Previous supervisory or management experience in a shop or maintenance environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and safety standards
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
